Designed for farmers, researchers, students, and agricultural extension professionals, the app helps users identify weed species and make informed weed management decisions.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the WeedSeg AI mobile application.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the information processed through the application.
2. Information We Collect
WeedSeg AI does not require users to create an account or provide personal information such as their name, phone number, or email address in order to use the core functionality of the application.
The application may process images selected from your device or captured using the device camera for weed detection and segmentation.
The application does not intentionally collect personal information for user profiling, advertising, or tracking.
3. Camera and Image Information
WeedSeg AI may request access to your device camera when you choose to capture an image for weed analysis.
You may also select images from your device when using the application's image analysis functionality.
Images are used to perform weed detection and segmentation within the application.
Camera access is only used when the corresponding functionality is requested by the user. The application does not continuously access or monitor the device camera.
4. How We Use Information
Images and related information processed by WeedSeg AI are used for the following purposes:

7. Internet and Network Access
The application includes the Android Internet permission. However, having this permission does not by itself mean that personal information or user images are collected or transmitted.
The core weed analysis functionality is designed to operate using the machine learning model available within the application.
8. Third-Party Services
WeedSeg AI uses standard Android and open-source software libraries to provide application functionality, including Android Jetpack components, CameraX, Room, Kotlin Coroutines, and TensorFlow Lite.
These libraries support application functionality such as camera access, local data management, user interface components, and on-device machine learning.
WeedSeg AI does not intentionally integrate third-party advertising or analytics services for tracking users.
9. Children's Privacy
WeedSeg AI is not specifically directed toward children. The application does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
